The Idea of the Portrait

This workshop is for those who want to make pictures of themselves and others in this environment and consider a variety of historical, cultural & artistic representations of the portrait. We will look African masks, Egyptian murals, Asian scrolls, European painting & sculpture, and contemporary art. You will develop a point of view and consider a future direction through daily critiques of work in progress. The emphasis will be on ideas.
